It is not us but God who takes the initiative. We can pray to God as our heavenly Father because God has taken the initiative to give us the privilege to become His children through faith in Christ by His grace. Thus, prayer is a way for us to respond to God’s love and grace.

ある程度の年齢になると、自分の親を悲しませないような生き方をしたいと思う人は少なくないのではないでしょうか。それと同じく、自らの造り主であり救い主でもある天の父なる神様を悲しませないような生き方をしていきたいなと我が子の成長を通して考えさせられました。
No matter how bad the situation may look right now, God is sovereign and in control, and He is working for your good. For God can use anything, both good and bad, for His plan to be accomplished, for His people to be saved, and for His purpose to be sustained.
今回、子供の子育てを通して考えさせられたことは「神様の導き」について。私たちの見当違いな選択さえも用いて、御自分の計画を成していかれる全知全能な神様。そんな神様に全てを委ね、今自分に与えられているものに感謝し、今自分が考え得る最善の選択をしていければと思います。
子供の育児を通して「命の尊さ」を考えさせられました。人が生きるため・生き抜くために必要な根源的なものは全て生まれたときに与えられているもの。親(人間)が与えようと思って与えられるものではありません。与えられている命に感謝しながら生きられますように。
Life is not easy. The problem you face right now may seem to be too big to handle. If so, remember that God is bigger than the problem. God is so sovereign and faithful that in all things, both good and bad, He works for the good of those who love Him as He promised.
子供の育児に関わる中で今回考えさせられたのは神様の「愛」、特に「身代わりの愛」について。私たちの身代わりに私たちの罪の罰をその身に受け、十字架で死んでいった子なる神イエス・キリスト。そこには私たちが苦しむ姿を見るに忍びない神の愛が表れています。
あなたが必死になって守ろうとしているモノは何でしょうか。たとえ、あなたが持っているモノ全てを失ったとしても、何も持っていないとしても、何もできないとしても、そのままのあなたを神様は愛してくださっています。神様にとってあなたは何物にも代えがたい存在なのです。
子供の育児に関わる中で今回考えさせられたのは神様の「懲らしめ」について。私たちが辛いことや苦しいことを経験するのは、神様が私たちを愛しているからこそであって、神様はそこから私たちに何かを学び取ってもらいたいと思っていらっしゃるのかもしれません。
